Stargate Project to Transform AI Infrastructure in the United States
The Stargate Project is a groundbreaking initiative set to revolutionise AI infrastructure in the United States. With an ambitious investment of $500 billion over four years, the project aims to bolster American leadership in artificial intelligence, create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and contribute significantly to the global economy. An initial $100 billion will be deployed immediately to accelerate progress.
Stargate Project Key Partners and Leadership
Stargate is backed by prominent equity funders, including SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. SoftBank will oversee financial responsibilities, while OpenAI will manage operations. Masayoshi Son, SoftBank’s visionary leader, will serve as the chairman.
The project also benefits from the expertise of leading technology partners such as Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI. These partnerships ensure cutting-edge technology underpins the project’s success.
Major Development Sites and Collaborations
The first phase of construction has already begun in Texas, with plans to expand to additional sites across the US as agreements are finalised. Oracle, NVIDIA, and OpenAI will work closely to build and operate the system, continuing a long-standing collaboration between OpenAI and NVIDIA, established in 2016. Oracle and OpenAI’s newer partnership further strengthens the initiative’s operational capabilities.
Microsoft also remains a key partner, supporting OpenAI’s growing use of Azure to train advanced AI models. This ongoing collaboration will enable the delivery of exceptional products and services worldwide.
A Step Towards AI for Humanity
Stargate’s vision goes beyond infrastructure. The project aims to support the re-industrialisation of the United States while safeguarding national security. By advancing artificial general intelligence (AGI), Stargate seeks to empower humanity with AI tools that drive creativity and innovation, elevating human potential globally.
